I apologize, but despite the numerous reminders I set on my iPod about making a blog post, somehow I managed to forget. Then I realized I didn’t actually get any of those reminders because iPod was stolen Thursday at school. Anyways, thankfully I did at least remember to post, better late than never I guess you could say!
This isn’t the point of this blog post. The point of this post is for me to tell you about the incredible experience of going to visit FSU with Mr. Tolar and the Cypress Creek Varsity Choir(plus Azon). About three hours into the bus trip, everyone who had been asleep from the beginning had begun to wake up. We all decided it would be a great idea to scream/sing until we pulled into the hotel parking lot. We sang absolutely everything you could imagine from every chorus song of this year and last year to basically the American Top 40 in our books. We ate dinner at Cracker Barrel and went back across the street to our hotel for the night.
The next day, we woke up and headed to the FSU campus. We began our journey of the day with a “Tolar-guided” tour of the campus. He took us to see many landmarks of the school and we walked past all of the different colleges within the university like the College of Medicine and the College of Business. We then went inside the man theatre where we got a small tour of the stage and backstage areas and were able to ask questions. We then went over to the College of Music where we were given a full tour and we ended with a chance to ask Dr. Judy Bowers questions about possibly becoming a music major at FSU. We then had some free time to go get some lunch and just take in the beauty of Florida State. After lunch, we ran into the Women’s Glee Club rehearsal and were able to end our day listening in on a rehearsal of the University Singers directed by Dr. Fenton (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cK50wNq4WwQ).
